About Lena

My passion for art truly came alive in the late 1980s during a visit to the Tate Gallery in London. Mark Rothko’s monumental abstract paintings transported me to another dimension. Inspired by this experience, I pursued art studies and have since worked in studios in places like Filmstaden and Gustavsberg’s porcelain factory.

My fascination with the form of the vessel evolved into designing ceramics in the 2000s, which were produced in Sweden and Portugal.

My writing took off after attending a literature course at Stockholm University. Since 2022, I’ve been based at Telefonplan Studios in Konstfack’s premises, where I divide my time between painting and writing.
